Runes For Restoration

If the purpose of art is to cipher cellular knowledge into Being, then the arts contain a potent arsenal of defense against the destructive forces currently threatening all forms of life as we know it.

Yggdrasil is the World Tree of Nordic mythology. In this piece, the tree itself has become a rune within its red arch surround and is underlined by a runic binding spell Shahna found while searching for the old Norse "spelling" of the word Yggdrassil. She discovered that "rune" comes from the Anglo-Saxon word runa meaning secret or mystery.
Though runes have their origins as a pictorial alphabet in Northern Italy around the 4th century B.C.E., they transversed Europe and have become specifically associated with letters of the old Norse alphabet that carry both sound and meaning.
Runic scripts are a series of runes which have been arranged to form a sequence of events. Bind runes are runes "melded together" to cause a permanent, long-term change to a person or an environment. J.R.R. Tolkien makes much use of runes throughout the Lord of the Rings.

The first rune of this Environmental Bond Rune is a Triple Dagaz that looks exactly like a Star of David, an ancient symbol representing the dictum:
"as above, so below;" the opening of the heart; and, specifically in the Norse symbology, breaking through the door into another way of being and thinking.

Internal to the Triple Dagaz is the rune Thurisaz, the rune of protection and adaptations which helps a species to survive.

Thus the first bind rune says "We make a survival breakthrough."

The central bind rune is the specific rune for Yggdrasil which is itself composed of the following internal runes:

Isa - "halt the destruction"

Kenaz - the hearthfire of kinship with all living things. It is also "the torch which enlightens the flame of technology" which can be bent toward Earth-healing purposes.

Tyr - the rune for the warrior who sacrifices for the Cosmic Balance and also "victory over adverse conditions."

Laguz - meaning "lake," healing and intuitive openness

Fehu - (there are two back to back) which relates to "mobile wealth," providing the energy needed to restore the earth.

Algiz - "protection" both from the Gods and from the interference of the Gods, which is more likely here considering the direction the Earth is taking to restore her own balance which may well eliminate the human species along with the greater part of planetary life as we know it.

The final bind rune is a Sunwheel with 4 internal Beorcs and 18 Ansuz.
The meaning of this rune is "We do not forget to tell the children why."

Beorc symbolizes the children and the continuation of the race.

Anzuz is the rune of communication.

Together these bond runes form the strong intention to acknowledge our kinship with all forms of life; to stop the destruction using all the resources we can mobilize, including self-sacrifice, to bring healing that will restore the balance of Earth's environment; and to teach the children to never forget and let this happen again. It is the intention of this copperwork, Runes for Restoration, that the human race unite in the activation of this reality.
