Inscription from the mystical meditation (NusacH Sefard) recited before lighting the menorah:

V'yeida kol pa'ul ki ata fa'alto
"and every passive verb shall know that YOU activated it."

By refilling the three oil reservoirs located behind the oil fonts as they get low, one can, theoretically, keep the flames continuous burning for all eight days of the festival.
