On each side at the base is the Hebrew word shiviti, the first word of the verse from Psalms 16:8
often placed on the eastern wall:
shiviti havaya li-negdi tamid - I equate all as God in relation to myself forever
Two small arabesques next to each shiviti contain small heart-shaped rubies. The crowning ornament with the single large ruby at the top is symbolic of the unity of disparate expressions of Divinity.
Acid etched copper, enamels, lab rubies. Backed in cedar. 30" x 14"
